Hey, I’m Miles. I travel around Africa and share the places, people, and experiences I find along the way. I started this blog to document my trips, discover new cultures, and help others see a more real and beautiful side of Africa. Most of the time you’ll find me exploring local streets, trying new food, getting lost in old cities, or chasing good views with a camera in my hand.
Slow walks, side alleys, neighborhoods that don’t make it into guidebooks.
Street stalls, family kitchens, places where the menu is whatever they made today.
Medinas, souks, alleyways older than most countries. Some of my best stories happened lost.
Camera in hand. Sunrises, rooftops, mountains, dunes — whatever the day gives me.
For years, the only stories I read about Africa online were about safari lodges and warnings. That’s not the Africa I know.
The Africa I know is loud, kind, complicated, generous, and full of people who would invite you in for tea ten minutes after meeting you. It’s overnight buses, lazy beach mornings, market haggling, calls to prayer, and friends you’ll keep for life.
Africaning is my small attempt to share that — slowly, honestly, one trip at a time.
